What Wipes Raids

New public raid stats pages at wowcoach.gg/raid-stats show, boss by boss, what is wiping raids right now, built from real logs.

Coach Replay You Can Count On

• A boss pull with a brief video hitch is kept as a Partial recording instead of being thrown away
• Recording continues through window resizes, display or HDR changes, and clock drift
• Changing display modes between pulls no longer leaves later pulls without video
• PCs without a hardware H.264 encoder can record using a 720p fallback

Easier Support

When a recording fails, Coach Replay shows the technical reason as copyable text. The desktop app now writes log files to %LOCALAPPDATA%\WowCoach\logs, so support can help faster. If Battle.net didn't grant WoW profile access, the app stops retrying and explains how to allow it.

Deaths, Done Right

Killing blows, deaths on trash pulls and self-inflicted debuff deaths are now attributed correctly. Avoidable-death calls come from the boss guide, and spread mechanics no longer count as avoidable.

Credit Where It's Due

• Pets, totems and guardians credit their owner for damage, healing and kicks
• Augmentation support is credited to the Evoker
• Raid buffs count each player once
• Interrupts and dispels follow one counting rule everywhere

Guides and Phases

Ula'tek and Kith'ix now have phase tracking, including their intermissions. Boss guides for Kith'ix, Nek'zali, Sentinel of Winter, Entombed Sentinels and Twin Fangs were updated. Altar of Fangs is the first dungeon with trash guides. The Mistweaver, Demonology and Brewmaster guides were refreshed.

Polish Everywhere

Reports and the dashboard got a large polish pass with better phone layouts, clear loading and error states, comparison and cooldown filters, and improved guild pages. The Mythic+ read now opens with the run clock, key level and timer result. When Coach Clutch can't see what you asked about, it points you to the connector, which can dig deeper. German speakers now have landing pages at wowcoach.gg/de.

Your Logs in Your AI Assistant

WowCoach now connects to Claude and ChatGPT. Sign in once at wowcoach.gg/connect and your assistant can read your casts, positions, rotation, cooldowns, interrupts and gear, plus game data for items, enemies, talents and affixes. Pro players can even read live pulls during a raid night. Connected apps are listed in your Profile with a Disconnect button.

Refreshed Class Guides

Every class guide was checked against current 12.1 sources, and specs including Feral, Unholy, Balance, Demonology, Restoration, Affliction, Augmentation and Blood gained graded checks. Checks that couldn't be verified are withdrawn rather than shown. Boss guides for Merektha, Avatar of Sethraliss, The Coiled Altar and Tidebound Grotto were updated.

What Happened, What to Change

The live pull page has been redesigned. Every call leads with its own headline, wipes get raid-lead style calls and a pull scorecard, and kill recaps vary their quip from kill to kill. Live wipe analysis is now included with Pro instead of costing a credit.

Rewritten Raid Guides

The Venomous Abyss guides were rewritten from current guides and live logs, and Raid Finder guides were added for five bosses that had none. Desktop overlay sheets now cover every Venomous Abyss boss on Mythic and Raid Finder.

Coach Clutch now says what it sees. Reviews lead with the strongest confirmed problem, rate the play, and say so plainly when something was done well. Answers are shorter, skip repeated points, and answer both halves of a two-part question.

The Wipe at a Glance

The live wipe page now opens with a brief: a boss-health chart with every death on the same clock, the biggest death cluster, top killers, and a death ledger with class colors and killing blows. A pull that ends at 0% boss health now reads as a cleared phase, not a near-kill.

The Right Mechanic, the Right Fix

Raid deaths on Ula'tek, Sszorak, The Coiled Altar and Nek'zali are now attributed to the mechanic that actually caused them, and boss mechanics come with the guide's counterplay. Rotation checks were refreshed for Patch 12.1 across nearly every spec, and checks the logs disproved were removed.

Coach Clutch — Trinket and Gear Grounding

Coach Clutch will no longer name specific trinkets, weapons, or enchants without first looking them up from your actual equipped gear. Earlier this week the AI was occasionally inventing plausible-sounding item names (real lore words combined into items that don't exist) when answering questions like "when should I use my trinket?". The fix forces the model to fetch your real loadout from your latest pull before naming anything specific. Generic gear advice ("macro on-use trinkets to your major cooldown") is unaffected.

Rotation Guide Always Loaded

Your spec's rotation guide is now pulled in as context for every Coach Clutch chat — not just when you ask a rotation question. This stops the AI from drifting onto generic advice or fabricating opener steps on follow-up turns where the original tool data has been compacted out of memory.

• Opener answers must use the guide's numbered priority list rather than inventing per-second timestamps
• Talent effects ("X grants N% haste", "Y resets Z's cooldown") must come from real talent descriptions for your loadout, not from training memory
• Numeric thresholds and benchmarks must come from the guide's exact phrasing — no per-fight extrapolations from per-window targets

Honest About What We Can't Answer

• Coach Clutch will now say "I don't have your gear data for this fight" rather than invent gear names when the data hasn't been captured
• Prior-turn answers in the same chat session aren't treated as facts — the model has to re-verify against tool data each turn

Coach Clutch — Investigator Mode

Coach Clutch's voice has been rebuilt around how a real coach actually talks. Instead of one rigid fix-list template, every response now picks from four archetypes — investigation, validation, comparison, or coaching plan — based on what you actually asked.

• V2 is now the default — the old V1 toggle has been retired
• Recurring active issues now dedupe properly so a problem you've been working on actually accumulates over time
• Stricter anti-hallucination rules: Coach Clutch can no longer name-drop removed mechanics, fabricate stat numbers (item level, max HP, gear score), or recommend defensive cooldowns that aren't in your actual talent loadout
• Hero talent advice stays within your own tree — no more cross-tree leakage
• Stale chat context between turns is compacted to keep responses focused on the current question

Position Snapshots

A new chart type for when where you were matters more than what happened. Coach Clutch can now emit a top-down tactical map of an encounter at the moment of a death or positioning question — boss in the middle, you and your party plotted with arrows, rings, ghost trails, and movement deltas.

WarcraftLogs Parity — Brewmaster Healing

Brewmaster Stagger absorbs are no longer counted as healing. Stagger isn't a true shield — it ticks the absorbed damage back to you over time as Stagger DoT — so it doesn't represent real "saved" HP. Matching WarcraftLogs methodology here means tank healing numbers drop, but they're now accurate.

• Reported HPS for Brewmaster tanks will be noticeably lower — this is a correction, not a regression
• Per-fight damage taken and healing taken are now tracked and surfaced on fight detail responses
• Interrupts, dispels, and casts now tracked per-player per-fight — visible on fight detail and ready for upcoming utility leaderboards
• Dispel undercount fix: friendly-target cleanses (dispelling debuffs off teammates) were being dropped during trash pulls, so utility scores understated healers and tanks
• SPELL_ABSORBED events no longer double-count on partial absorbs against shielded enemies

Sharing & Auto-Recap

• Share cards now render as PNG instead of SVG — cleaner image previews when posting to Discord, Reddit, or socials
• Auto-recap weekly digest enriched with deep links straight to the moments that mattered
• Moment callouts highlight the specific deaths, big hits, and recovery windows worth re-watching

The replay view is now time-coupled — the master timeline is a sticky scrubber that drives every panel together. Drag it and the focused-target view, sidebar, and (on mobile) the inline tactical map all follow.

Coach Clutch — Sharper, More Honest

Two long-standing bugs that produced false coaching points are fixed:

• Evokers no longer get a phantom "missing buff" coaching point. The check was looking for a passive that isn't in any Evoker spec's talent tree, so every Evoker chat was being told it was missing.
• Modern talent loadouts are recognized. A stale heuristic rejected any loadout with more than 50 nodes — but specs with hero talents routinely have 60–80. Coach Clutch now reads them correctly and tailors advice to your actual picks.
• Old coaching-memory entries from the buggy windows have been cleaned up so they don't replay in new chats.

Multi-Character, Cross-Realm Players

• Combat-log names match against your linked characters with proper realm awareness — fewer wrong-character mix-ups
• Recent run grades show the actual raid difficulty instead of defaulting
• Death attribution sharper on Mythic+ runs with trash gaps between bosses

Spell Data Refresh

• Spell mappings updated for Unholy and Frost Death Knight, Arms and Fury Warrior, Havoc and Vengeance Demon Hunter, Devastation and Augmentation Evoker, and Demonology Warlock

Coach Clutch on Midnight

Coach Clutch has been on Midnight rotations and talents for months. Last week, in the few days right after patch 12.0.5 went live, a brief data lag on a couple of specs caused some chats to pull from outdated TWW talent data — surfacing references to abilities that no longer exist. The lag is gone and the issue is fully resolved. If a chat from that short window looked off, retry it.

Wowhead Spell Tooltips

Spell names mentioned in AI analysis now show Wowhead hover tooltips. This works across all AI features:

• Wipe Analysis — Spell names in chain of events, primary cause, and advice sections
• Run Summary — Death causes, key events, and improvement suggestions
• Coach Clutch Chat — Killing blows, defensive cooldowns, and rotation spells

All spell IDs come from verified combat log data, not AI-generated. Hover any dotted-underlined spell name to see its full Wowhead tooltip with description, damage values, and cooldown info.

Cache Reset

We cleared the AI analysis cache so all existing summaries will regenerate fresh with tooltip support when you next view them.

AI Run Summary

Every uploaded report now automatically gets an AI-generated executive summary showing at the top of the page:

• Quick Stats - Key level, completion time, deaths at a glance
• What Happened - Key events and moments from your run
• What Went Wrong - Issues identified with player attribution

Summaries are generated automatically after parsing completes. If you open a report while generation is in progress, the UI polls until it is ready. M+ summaries include timer status and death time cost; raid summaries include progression context and boss attempts.

Evoker's Plot the Future talent grants a self-only Fury of the Aspects proc that was incorrectly showing as raid-wide bloodlust on the Pull Timeline. We now require at least 2 targets within 2 seconds to count as a real lust.

Boss Phase Tracking
