What causes the first death on a wipe
The ability behind the first player death of each Heroic wipe. The first death usually starts the wipe.
- Raids that kill The Twin Fangs lose 39% fewer players per minute to Ravenous Feast than raids that wipe.
- Counter: Assign a different group to each of the three strikes. Each player clears one venom stack; leave after your strike and do not soak again while Feasted is active.
- Counter: Each strike knocks you away: stand so it throws you toward the middle, never into the venom sea, and do not walk back into the circle while Feasted.
- Raids that kill The Twin Fangs lose 64% fewer players per minute to Coiling Ichor than raids that wipe.
- Counter: Marked players walk to the platform edge, apart from the raid and each other, stop short of the venom, and let the ichor expire there.
- Counter: Healers keep marked players topped; the damage climbs for the full 12 s.
- Counter: Keep Eternal Venom below ten stacks. Use your assigned Ravenous Feast strike to remove one stack, then leave the soak; Feasted prevents further removal for eight seconds.
- Melee hits9%
- Raids that kill The Twin Fangs lose 43% fewer players per minute to Melee hits than raids that wipe.
- Raids that kill The Twin Fangs lose 60% fewer players per minute to Toxic Fumes than raids that wipe.
- Counter: Healers keep the raid topped between mechanics: the fumes hit everyone every 2 s and finish players already low from venom ticks.
- Counter: High-stack players take more venom damage, so they use personals and healthstones before big hits.
- Raids that kill The Twin Fangs lose 63% fewer players per minute to Stir the Depths than raids that wipe.
- Counter: Watch the waves roll in and step through the gaps between them for the full 6 s; every wave hit is a venom stack.
- Counter: Healers cover the three raid pulses with a cooldown.
- Raids that kill The Twin Fangs lose 46% fewer players per minute to Vile Flood than raids that wipe.
- Counter: Read the spinning orbs around Vexhul for the beam's direction, move against the rotation and cross it early; everything behind the beam is safe.
- Counter: It never completes a full circle, so one early crossing is enough; weave through the gore impacts while you move.
- Raids that kill The Twin Fangs lose 69% fewer players per minute to Stone Breaker than raids that wipe.
- Counter: Ithraz's tank walks back in after the roar and stands in each small circle in the order it appears; nobody else steps in.
- Counter: The other tank takes the next set: one set's 33% stacks outlast the next Stone Breaker.

About these numbers
Every percentage comes from The Venomous Abyss pulls uploaded to WowCoach since September 1, 2026. A difficulty appears only once there are enough wipes and kills for the shares to hold steady. Counters are WowCoach's coaching notes for each ability. For full fight strategy, read the boss guides at Icy Veins and Wowhead.
